This series feels a bit ... unfinished. Not sure if it's just that fantasy and historical fiction both usually take a bit of explanation and this comes in at under 140 pages or what.
That said I still like it. Fantastical creatures and adventure. And accessiblity to younger or less practiced readers is a nice plus.
LOVE the Theodosia series by the same author. Like this one.
