Lt Col Jon Smith is in the Army's infectious disease group which is based
in Maryland. He is also a member of covert-one which is an anti terrorist
group answerable only to the President. At the moment he is in The Hague
for a conference on infectious diseases when the hotel he is in comes under
attack. Smith barely escapes but not before he discovers a picture of
himself and two others in the pocket of one of the shooters. The hotel is not
the only place under attack.Bombs are also going off at the train staion,
the airport and the International Criminal Court where Oman Dattar is
being held on charges against humanity. During all of this chaos he manages
to escape. Dattar has a deep hatred for the United States and now that he has
gained his freedom he has access to a mysterious secret weapon and he plans to
exact his revenge and bring the West to its knees. This is the first of the
covert-one books written by Jamie Freveletti and she has done an excellent
job. It is a first class thriller from page 1 to the end and you will have
a very hard time putting it down. She also has written three of her own books
and has another coming out the middle of October. They are also very good
stories and I'm sure that if you read all of this you will be as big
a fan as I am.
