I found this book in a search of available e-books for lend from my library. The description made the book sound interesting, so I reserved it. I'm really glad I did. This book draws you in from the beginning and you'll have a hard time putting it down. The story is intricately woven with many layers. The only thing I had trouble with was the age of the main character. When I started the book, I thought she was about 13, but after reading the book, I think she's closer to 16 or 17. I wish the author had made that a little more clear. Still, if you liked Cinda Williams Chima's Heir series (Warrior Heir, Wizard Heir, Dragon Heir) or her Seven Realms Series, you will most likely love this book (and it's follow-ons). This book tells the story of a merchant's daughter who runs away from school to go home and gets caught up in something much larger than she ever imagined. It has humor, mystery, whimsy and magic, both dark and light. I didn't want it to end.
