Read in December, 2008

I've been trying to find this book for years. When it first came out, I devoured it in one night, then gave it to my mother.

About three years ago, I started trying to remember the title so I could read it again. I couldn't remember the author, I couldn't remember the title. The clues I had to go on were the number 8, a snake, and a hot pink cover.

While searching for a book for my mom for Christmas this year, I treated myself to a morning at my favorite bookstore, Kramerbooks and Afterwards. I picked up the tome for Mom, and treated myself to lunch in their cafe. After lunch, on a whim, I walked through the annex and there, face out on the shelf, was Bankok 8.

I bought it and Bankok Tatoo, and if I weren't reading too many books concurrently right now, I'd be kicking myself I hadn't bought the third of the Bankok series.

You have to read this. The voice is perfect.
