Rock Solid Faith for Teens, is an NIV translation that is geared toward encouraging teenagers to have a more solid foundation, reading and understanding God's Word.
Promised to "Build and defend your faith based on God's promises", this bible starts off with a "Welcome" and a two page spread, sharing the layout of this bible along with a brief, two page discussion about the goal of the NIV. Along with the following features:
Rock Solid Truths which examines Christian beliefs and explorations of other religions
Rock Solid Principles which applies the Bible to daily decisions and challenges
Rock Solid Promises which calls out what is (and is not) promised in the Bible
Rock Solid Plans which explores God's plan and will for your life
Unshaken People which provides scriptural examples of overcoming difficulties
Unshaken God which points out God's unyielding attributes
The "Rock Solid Faith Study Bible for Teens" is definitely a very solid study bible for teens (or young adults) to read and use, for growth encouragement.
Paper wise, the pages are not thin, thus making taking notes easy, but I wouldn't suggest using highlighters since they would bleed through and would suggest if not underlining, maybe using color pencils or crayola twistables.
This study bible seems to really stand out in that, it goes straight to the point and doesn't insult a teenager's intelligence. The side notes are brief and yet the bible is stylish that can be carried on to the college years and beyond.
I really liked the concordance and the inclusion of the color maps in the back really helps the reader follow along with key points that are vital to understanding the New Testament. In addition, I was also impressed, that in the footnotes, there are often references and meaning to what the Greek alternative to words were/are and brings to this particular bible, not levity but rather respect to the reader that makes this a bible that the teenager in your life would appreciate.

Wow. This sounds like an excellent Bible for teens. Grab those Twistables. Who cares how old they are. :)
