A girl in sent to go live with her aunt that she has never met, and from what she has heard about her she is a little nerves. She goes, and she helps out with the farm and she ends up meeting a boy and they become really close. At the end of the summer her parents tell her that she has to come home. She is no way ready and doesn't want to leave him or the community.
When she gets home there is a lot of crazies and everyone is mad at everyone. She calls her boyfriend one day and they run away because she finds out that she is pregnant. As they are going it gets really snowy and they get in a car accident and both him and the baby die.
This book was really good, it kept me wanting to read it, i finished it in a week and that is the fastest i have ever read a book. It was really detailed in parts so I would recommend it for other teens and to more mature students and friends. But she does a really good job on describing the families situation and how they live and how they treat each other.
