Keith Richards with unflinching honesty tells his story starting from his days as a young boy. It is amazing that he has lived to tell us anything at all. He seems to have done well kicking the hard drugs since his involvement and marriage to Patti Hansen in the early 80's.

Keith not only is one of the greatest guitar players of all time, he seems to have one of the larger hearts in the rock and roll world. (It goes without saying that the Rolling Stones are the best rock 'n' roll band of all time) His stories of joining Mick Jagger to create the blues inspired Rolling Stones music are nothing short of fascinating. Their relationship is a brotherly and tumultuous one. The ill fated relationship both Keith and Mick shared with Brian Jones is page turning print.

It is truly amazing to hear Keef's accounts of his creating the uniquely charged riffs that are the core of many Stones songs. The fact that he and Mick could go from writing the music and lyrics and lay down first tracks with the rest of the boys in just a few short hours is nothing short of genius.
