it was amazing

A wonderful collection of essays, mostly about writing--the teaching of writing and literature, writing itself, and the challenges/obligations of being both a writer and a Catholic/Christian. She's both very funny and incredibly serious. I was really struck by the consistency of her philosophy and approach to her work and the teaching of writing/literature. It's clear that she had a highly developed (and very integrated) moral philosophy by which she approached her work.
