it was amazing

Wow! I had heard good things about this book, but I was even more impressed than I thought I would be. The first thing I noticed after tearing through almost 100 pages the first night I started it was how endearing Miles is. I found him so much more likeable than Colin in Abundance of Katherines. I never grew to like Colin, but with Miles... I felt everything with him. Strange, as I'm not a boy, but it was so interesting. An absolutely heartbreaking read also. I felt like crying towards the end but never did.

Overall, my impression is that this book is wonderfully written, laugh out loud funny, and also so genuine that it's tragic. I loved it so much that I read it through lunch at work, which is quite a feat with all the loud talkers I work with. It definitely has mature themes, so I would recommend it for older grades, but it's nothing they haven't at least heard about in public school or seen on basic network television.
