The only thorough, factual and comprehensive survey of the state of the environment, man and the world I have seen. If you do not check with this book on your assumptions about the environment or find a book that is equally thorough and scientifically sound, you are doing yourself and the cause an injustice. It is pretty much a textbook though so get your caffeine working.

what other books have you tried to read about the environment? This one seems to me obviously yet another put out by business interests to confuse people about the issue, while not offering any genuine or scientific insight
