I had intended to read this over Christmas...HA! I thought it was a very interesting book that tends to discuss class issues with regards to poverty and affluence. It also had some intriguing views on the different ways to view art, from still life to Mona Lisa.

The story of Charley and his Christmas holiday in Paris to visit his friend Simon flows along nicely for the most part. It does sort of drag toward the end and the final chapter sort of ends without a lot of fanfare, but it's a decent story. I recommend it for a quality read by a well-known author that won't take you very long.
