Skin, which was written by the oh so clever Ted Dekker, has become one of my favorite novels. Emily, which is one of the main characters, finds herself in a real/unreal world that she can't make sense of. She feels lost, alone, helpless, and confused. Although she is as brilliant as they come, she can't quite figure out what, if anything, is going on. The book will lead you through a seemingly small friendly town and a seemingly creepy town, but remember, this is just what it seems like. Is the true setting ever discovered? That's one reason to read the book. Skin was pleasurable and an easy, yet mind boggling book. There are times you will have to simply sit back and just think about what happend and try to make sense of the whole thing...good luck with that by the way. If you are a reader that likes suspense and a little bit of horror, then this is the book for you.

Cecelia I recall the main character's name was Wendy, not Emily. The book had me spooked and I felt there should have been more light amidst the darkness, but Dekker delivered a story that made me read quickly:
