Another great, emotional story by Ms. Garvis. The writing in this book really pulls you into these characters. Different chapters are told from different character's perspective, so you know everything that they are thinking even when the other characters do not. It really showed you the personal struggles each character was going through, and they were all real everyday people. Reminded me of Megan Hart's recent work (and I'm a huge fan of her emotional stories as well). As much as I wanted to read this (because I loved On the Island), I was really apprehensive because I am not a fan of books with adultery/cheating. If you feel the same, I still recommend you read this. It is difficult, but worth the journey. The first half of this book was a bit slow, but stick with it beacuase the second half kept me up late reading.
