This is a corker. Have to admit in recent years I've found Terry Pratchett's writing for younger people much more compelling than some of the writing for adults and Dodger fits that mould nicely.

It's the tale of a Tosher and his travels through Victorian society meeting a certain Charles Dickens and other notable people of the age as he goes.

It works for me as a story and I liked the use of slang with some brilliant words that have fallen out of common use.

Some of the action is a tad implausible, but I don't think it detracts from the narrative at all.

I like Soloman as a character and I think Angela sounds amazing, I would have liked to be able to meet her.

Ace read.
