This book is about the catering business starting by Cathy Scarlet and Tom Feather, called (quite naturally), "Scarlet Feather".

Read on a business trip, and enjoyed it for the most part. I didn't really like Cathy's relationship with her husband much -- I guess I didn't like the premise that the two main characters were in doomed relationships from the get-go -- but other than that, it was a really enjoyable book (and fortunately, didn't dwell on that too much).

I found Simon and Maud absolutely charming, and especially enjoyed Cathy's care for them. The discussions about the dancing, the Americans, how much they ate, corned beef, etc. were all very interesting, and of course each specific catering story was fascinating to read about. I liked James Byrne, too, and that story line kept me coming back for more.
