Gemma Craig is a personal chef for a delicious mixture of the well-to-do, the slightly shady and a home-cooked meal hankering single guy. There is loquacious Lex Prather, who adores every classic ‘50s morsel Gemma whips up. The Oleksei family may be running an organized crime ring out of their dreary home, but enjoy the Russian recipes that remind them of home. Angela Van Houghten claims to be allergic to everything, presenting a culinary challenge with her forbidden ingredient list. Gemma also has a flirtation with the classic fare loving single guy she calls “Mr. Tuesday”, although they have never actually met. Gemma avoids the unpredictable by relying upon the order found in the kitchen, and keeps the focus on her culinary creations. On an impromptu evening out with a friend who unceremoniously ditches her, Gemma meets a man that stirs her in ways she doesn’t employ in the kitchen. Gemma must decide if she enjoys the predictable life she has set out for herself, or if she should experiment with a new recipe.
