Well, I liked this book, but I also hated it. It was set up in pretty cool way. The setting of the book was in the 60's, and each chapter started with a quote from 60's TV commercials, the Andy Griffith Show, or the Charles Manson trial. The chapter then used that quote as a theme of sorts. I thought it would be a pretty cool way to teach theme on the chapters that really came through loud and clear. For those of you that know me, you know my family is big into Andy Griffith. I think that is why I liked that part of it so much.

On the other hand, I felt like the huge build up to the very exciting climax was wasted when she ended it so abruptly. There was a chapter at the end that tried to wrap up all the weirdness in an interesting way, but it was too disjointed to really understand what she was trying to do. That is pretty much my only gripe about the book.

Don't read this one expecting the usual Lauren Myracle book! It is incredibly bizarre and quite disturbing. Not too bad though.
