really liked it

The book The Descendants is about an older man Matthew King who is struggling with his family to pick someone to by off the big property they own in Hawaii and he is struggling to get rid of it because it has been apart of there family for the longest time. through out the book it also talks about the hard ships of his relationship with his daughters and how there life is changing because there mother got into a comma and might not live. I gave the book four stars because it was a quick easy read book that had a lot o f funny parts through out it and also kept my interest all the way threw the book. 'I look at my wife. I need you, I think. I need you here to keep our daughters and me. I don't know how to talk to people. I don't know how to live correctly.'page 52 the meaning behind this passage is when his wife first got into her comma he was telling her to hold on and don't leave them. What we are learning about in English is a bout personal statements how this book connects to that is because its talking about his life and what struggles he had to over come during it. the readers that i would recommend this book to is high schoolers and the reason i say this is because at some parts it would be hard for a younger age group to understand and its also a more mature reading level.

Mrs. Heiting Next time, work on your connection component. Also work on interacting with your quote more significantly; do something more than just tell what is going on in the quote and what it means. What do you think about the passage? Why is it significant? Why did it stick out to you? MLA format is author's last name and page number ex. (Hemmings 52).
