I have to tell you, I was very concerned when I picked up this book. I thought Brandman's attempt at Spencer was weak, and I was hoping I didn't have to write off all of the characters Parker had made so much fun and so important to me for so many years. Hallelujah, he got this one right. It is vintage Jesse Stone. It reads fast as can be and is totally entertaining and good fun. Three good stories all going on at the same time. As always, Paradise is an interesting place to be.
