it was amazing

This is an award winning book, of one of the oldest fables known, of a lion and a mouse. The lion is woken up from his sleep by a little mouse. The mouse begs for him to forgive the mouse and instead of killing the mouse, the lion lets it go. The mouse was forever in debt. One day the lion gets trapped by hunters and is stuck. The mouse hears the roar of the lion and comes to free him. The mouse, knowing what the lion had done for him, now could do the same in return. As many Caldecott books, this is all illustrations and the reader has to come up with the story line behind the pictures. I absolutely love this book and I feel it should be used in classrooms of younger ages, to teach them about not only this fable, but how it can apply in everyday life.
