Great book for teens and pre-teens I think. Very simple writing and a fine way of depicting prison life without glorifying it which is hard to do today with so many kids (and adults) thinking most anything negative translates into something positive and "cool".
I think this book should be made available to every kid, not just those who live in the city or gang related areas. Crime is everywhere- not just in the cities and kids fall victim to it everywhere. I appluad Williams for trying to change the world and make amends for his mistakes.
