really liked it
bookshelves: first-reads
Read from September 27 to October 13, 2012

I received this book as a Goodreads Giveaway.

I really enjoyed this book. I love books on British history/monarchy and this one did not dis-appoint. I was a bit confused starting off with the switching back and forth from Katherine to Kate. That quickly passed as I found myself caring more and more about the characters. Although I was familiar with the history I loved getting a more intimate story.

This book was extremely well written with enough description to transport to the 1400 and 1500's. I could so easily picture myself there in the castles, in the amazing dresses. Having recently toured the Tower of London I was thrilled to know exactly where so much of the novel took place.

This was a wonderful story and the author did an amazing job of making history exciting and making me care so much for the 2 Katherines.

Well done!
