Read in September, 2012

This is the second book in the Takhini Wolves series and pairs a crossbreed shifter with a shifter who can't actually shift. The hero of this novel is very contradictory: He's an outcast and alone, yet considered the alpha of all the outcasts. He also loves Shelley but claims she isn't his mate. If you like HFN (that's Happy For Now), then this will strike your fancy. If you crave an HEA with destined mates, then check out Wolf Signs from Vivian's Granite Lake Wolves series.

Not only does Vivian Arend write great steamy quick romances, but her secondary character almost steal the show … which could be why some get books of their own! Jack, Delton, Enigma? All came alive on the pages. If you love steam, if you love HFN, if you adore shifter books in general, then pick this one up, or the first Takhini Wolves book, Black Gold.
