Going Home is the first book in the Green Bayou series by RHONDA DENNIS, and it is one of those can't put down books. The characters are likable and through out the book I felt emotionally involved with each and every one of them. Emily is a EMT working in New Orleans and decides to return home to her hometown. This is where the excitement begins. Get ready for a roller coaster ride. There are twists and turns through the entire book, you will be surprised every way you turn. Please get your hanky out and get ready to cry and get ready to hold your stomach when the laughter begins. The setting of the bayou made me homesick for Morgan City, La. The author described the scenery as I remembered my childhood home. Please pick up a copy of this book. I promise you wont be disapointed. You will also want to immediately want to start book two Awakenings....
