I love a good mystery suspense, and especially if there's a little medical jargon thrown in. Hidden comes close ... the jargon is dental instead of medical. And despite my own dentalphobia, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It had me turning the pages eager to see what would happen next. The horror of what Lacey Campbell survived is felt viscerally by the reader as she is forced to live it all over again. The characters are all wonderfully drawn, especially Jack Harper as the playboy contractor who finds himself being drawn to Lacey, even as he fights it tooth and nail. This is a terrific mystery with just enough romance to make me love it.
