Around the World in 80 Days starts off in 1873 in Liverpool,England. It is the story of Phileas Fogg, a very precise and efficient Englishman, who bets his friends at the Reform Club 20,000 pounds that he can travel around the world in 80 days. He and his french servant, Passapartout, travel by train and boat to many places including France, Italy, Egypt, India, Hong Kong, Japan, USA and Ireland. They run into many problems along the way and have to find different ways to stay on schedule.
