liked it

I love Dykes to Watch out For, and I liked Alison Bechdel's first graphic novel. But this one was kind of hard to finish. It's all about Alison's trip through her therapy and her relationship with her mother. But it's not just therapy, it's Psychoanalysis, so it gets really deep and detailed, and refers a lot to psychiatrists that Alison reads and likes and relates to. Unfortunately, I haven't read their book and I found her quotes to be difficult to understand. But I still like her character. I also really liked looking at all the details and the facial expressions of the people in her drawings. It is really life-like and quite a different experience from reading a normal book. A picture does say a thousand words. Even though I only gave it three stars, I would still recommend it.
