Thanks, Karla, for recommending this book. What a beautiful homage to a pig that became a pet. Anyone who loves their pets and knows how they make such a difference in our lives will love this book. Christopher Hogwood brings meaning not only to his owners, but to everyone who meets him. The book is uplifting because the philosophy of the author is to embrace life and teach others. She is also attuned to learning from nature, particularly animals. She says, " Go out into the world where your heart calls you. The blessings will come, I promise you that." The words of tribute to Christopher Hogwood from the author's friend Lilla are, "He was a big Buddha master for us. He taught us how to love. How to love what life gives you--to love your slops. What a soul! He was a being of pure love." What else can be said?
