really liked it
bookshelves: essays, biography-and-memoir, nonfiction, scitech
Read from February 18 to 19, 2013

Once you recognize that this is not actually about computers (it's not, honest), it's held up remarkably well. Some of the tech is outdated, obviously, and you can hear the Bells Of Foreshadowing ringing in the distance when he talks about how his ideal OS has a nice GUI and easy access to the command line, but overall, I really enjoyed reading this. Nothing mind-blowing, not in 2013, but fun nonetheless.
