Wow, Barnaby turned out to be a real sweetheart, didn't he! Oh yes he did, that little boy everyone loves except his parents who are way too fucked up to feel even remotely real. But it's alright since it was just a way of showing how "normal" people judge different people and so on and so on. I don't know. My big problem with this book was that Barnaby was too perfect. Everyone who he met loved him and he hardly showed any weaknesses. Plus it was all too straight-forward.

It didn't click for me. I might recommend this to younger readers though.
