Read in January, 1984

The scene when Daisy and Jordan first appear is perhaps the best-written scene in all of literature, but I might be a little biased because I just read it again so my marveling at Fitzgerald's writing is very fresh in my mind. This is one of those rare novels that not only stands up under multiple readings but also improves under each additional scrutiny.

No, it's not perfect, but it sure is beautiful. Hmm, sounds like a description of some characters....
