Action packed, a very entertaining mystery thriller. This is the first time I have read anything written by Meg Gardiner. It will not be the last. I am already looking forward to the next book in the series. I was attached to Jo Beckett right from the start. I like how she comes across as tough but does have an emotional side, which came through well reflecting back on the death of her husband. Her job as a forensic psychologist was to study and determine why someone died and not so much on how. The way she gets right into her job she almost acts more like a private investigator. I also enjoyed Gabe and hope he plays a stronger role in the next book.
