There were things I liked about this, and things that I didn't care for. In terms of fan fiction, I think this was pretty well-written. The structure and the pacing of this novel were fairly similar to JK Rowling's work, so in a lot of ways it felt like a Harry Potter novel. I thought the central storyline was interesting, and I really liked some of the secondary characters brought in. The one thing that I really didn't like was how Harry and crew were portrayed as adults. They just didn't feel like adult versions of themselves; they just felt wrong. The only character who seemed fairly close was McGonagall, and I think the book version of her was closer to the movie version than the original novel version.
