Very well written. Walbert is an acute observer, who creates believable settings spanning a considerable stretch of time and multiple locations. The book is complex (jumps around re time/setting) and is ultimately very moving. I considered giving the book five stars, and would have, had I not had a little trouble sorting out the changes in time/setting in one portion of the book.
