I usually love Eloisa James. I always look forward to reading one of her new books but this one missed the mark for me. I mean...the main characters get married in the very beginning and are blissful for all of a day before she finds out he lied and kicks him out and he listens and actually leaves...for seven years. And in those seven years, he becomes a pirate because that is obviously what titled noblemen do when their wife gets mad at them and tells them to leave the house.

So fast forward seven years, he's about to be declared dead, and then he swoops back in and is all like -you're rigid and she's all like - I don't need anyone but you're hot. And then he's like I was faithful while I was a pirate known as the Earl but then I changed my name to Jack Hawk and got a tattoo so I slept with whoever I want. And she's like - oh...sure that's okay because did I mention that you're hot and I'm ugly (but not really....just lacking in self confidence) and just so rigid that I need someone to make me better? This one I just couldn't help but roll my eyes at! Hopefully the next in this series will be better.
