The Lucky One
by Nicholas Sparks (Goodreads Author)
I have loved every book I have read by Nicholas Sparks. This book was no different. He always writes about events that could happen to anyone. A lot of the romance novels I have read are full of the usual sappy and corny things you would expect from a novel like this. Those stories never progress, or leave me hanging. I spend the entire time predicting what happens next and end up getting it right every time. Nicholas Sparks can write about all the sappy and romantic things that you would expect in a romantic novel. He also knows how to write suspenseful stories, which is something that sets him apart from other romance novelists. This book had suspense from the very beginning. From the minute he introduced the characters I was hooked. He introduces a story about how a picture could be a lucky charm, making me want to keep reading to find out more. The book was full of cliff-hangers that made me not want to put the book down. I love how he told the story from the point of view of all 3 main characters. When I am reading a book I like to see the story from more than one perspective and Nicholas Sparks did that very well. Overall, it was a great book witha really interesting plot line. I would recommend it to anyone who like romance and/or suspense.
