Well, a friend recommended this book.. so it pains me to write this review.

Have you seen Disney's "The Sword in the Stone"? Do you remember when Merlin shapeshifts young Arthur into a bird and fish and lets him learn important life lessons? Well, Dan Millman (author of Peaceful Warrior) must have loved those scenes because I swear he threw them into his book.

The book is filled with a bunch of superficial new-age platitudes... trying (unsuccessfully) to hint at deeper things.

I probably wouldn't have disliked the book as much as I did, if he didn't try to palm this crap off as a "true story". If you like this kind of intellectually devoid philosophy, I would rather recommend Carlos Castenada. At least you can say that his stuff was bad because of all the drugs he did.
