A well told story delivered with respect and sensitivity, which also includes well-developed and likeable characters. It’s a story of grief when you lose a loved one, and how hard it is to move on to find happiness once again for not only yourself, but also your child. Bonnie James weaves a beautiful tale of finding happiness when following yours dreams and opening your broken heart once again with the hope of falling in love.

As much as I enjoyed the novel, I found the ending to be quite abrupt. I thought the event that took place near the end was not only dramatic, it was quite significant. I was a little puzzled as to why the author wrapped all of this up so quickly.

I should mention that as I read this novel on my Kindle, it was hard to follow whose point of view I was reading as there was no indication (i.e.: no extra lines between paragraphs; end of chapter; or symbols of some kind) to show where it began or ended. I don’t know if this pertains only to the ebook format.
