The novel is about a research lab in the 1980s. It shows how the characters have to deal with the politics of research and other things that you never thought about because you're not a scientist. The characters were very fleshed out, which is always nice. And there was a plethora of characters...however, they all seemed to be jewish and/or have blue eyes. What is up with that, Ms. Goodman? Sure, i get the Jew part, but EVERYONE has blue eyes? It just seems...unimaginative. Other than that, it was a good book.
