Quality, light fantasy here, but I didn't like it as much as Sword of Destiny or Last Wish. According to the cover this is Blood of Elves, "starring the Witcher." It feels more like he has a minor supporting role or like this is a spin-off focusing more on Ciri. It needs a lot more of Geralt. It's also very much a piece of a larger story. It feels like it cuts off at the end just as it gets going. Also, from reading a little more about the Witcher saga, it looks like there is still a lot of content that takes place before the game's time frame. The books that contain this missing material evidently haven't been translated to English yet. Still, I think it was worthwhile to read the books and then play the game. The Witcher is a great character with a lot more to offer than what we see in the video games.
