This book stayed with me long after I was finished. Its historical and tells a story of a Native American Family's interwoven past and present. I felt the magic of the land and the people who roamed it for centuries. I felt emotionaly bound to the story.
It starts out on a winding road and the story winds around the lives of a present day family and its ancestors and how everything that was ever done by each family member in centuries past would lead to their decendents and dictate their lives in future.
Two Native women discover a "Drum" at an estate sale and begin to follow a path to the past that in the end puts their whole lives in perspective and allows them to move on from their present day stagnant lives.
