I finished this book recently and while I would like to give it more stars, I stop short at three ... I think the author tries to "spice up" the story by adding unnecessary sexually explicit scenes and foul language. Having said that, I found the ethical conflicts presented in the book to be very thought provoking. The author weaves different plots and subplots together all dealing with the idea of genetic engineering and the whole industry that this area of science is generating ... ie. gene patents, selling of cell lines for research, the stealing and selling of organs and body parts to research companies, creation of transgenic plants and animals. The book was hard to put down !
