This book is about how beauty are affecting women lives. Naomi Wolf gives different factors that impact a women's life such as religion, culture, violence, etc. She gives evidence to back up her claim which can get confusing at times. One of her best chapter of the book was the chapter called Hunger. In this chapter she talks about eating disorders such as bulimia and anorexia. It was interesting to see all of the statistic she included about how many girls who think they are over-weight. Then she talks about how these diseases aren't only physically damaging but also mentally damaging. Wolf explains different types of hunger that women have.

This book is so different from anything I've read. I recommend this to anyone who is willing to read it. There are so many interesting facts that makes you view the world differently. This book is kinda of a feminist book but nonetheless a interesting read.
