love the title - now to read the book.

This is a story about European immigrants working in dam construction in Tasmania 1954. Having fled the brutality of war they come seeking refuge and hope in a new country.

Another book that is lingering around after i have finished. Keep thinking about the themes and characters and the sadness of lives disrupted and broken by war.
