This is hagiography at its best with overblown language praising Boone at every turn. The book also has a distinct bias against Native Americans. They are portrayed as ignorant savages throughout, except for a section which calls them doomed savages, and the illustrations showed them as ferocious and scary. Interesting to see the attitudes of the 1930's when this was written.
