There is no happiness quite like finding a Jayne Castle (Jayne Ann Krentz) book out for sale 4 days before its scheduled release date.

A synopsis of the book can be found elsewhere. Here's what I liked about it: the main characters, Rachel Blake and Harry Sebastian, both of whom have a hard time fitting in to mainstream life, the mysterious Preserve on Rainshadow Island, the cameo appearances of Slade & Charlotte from "Canyons of Night", Harry & Rachel in the SUV, Harry & Rachel in the cave, and, of course, the dust bunnies!

Monsters & nightmares figure prominently in the story. I can only hope that tentacled alien sea creatures do not make an appearance in mine.
