For those of you who might be skeptical that a person could be such a brilliant, scheming person as (the character I won't name, in order to avoid spoilage), that's because you've never been around one. That part was VERY believable for me, contrary to the gentle lambs who disagree.
I loved the Cool Girl riff, in that it's a celebration of the end of artifice...
However, the ending didn't satisfy me. I loved the book, was addicted to it, until the end, at which point, I was very unhappy. I'm all for the thrill of an open ending, but too open is kind of lazy.
