Lynne Spreen For those of you who might be skeptical that a person could be such a brilliant, scheming person as (the character I won't name, in order to avoid spoilage), that's because you've never been around one. That part was VERY believable for me, contrary to the gentle lambs who disagree.

I loved the Cool Girl riff, in that it's a celebration of the end of artifice...

However, the ending didn't satisfy me. I loved the book, was addicted to it, until the end, at which point, I was very unhappy. I'm all for the thrill of an open ending, but too open is kind of lazy.

Shelley Young Lynne, I think you experienced what most of us did who read this novel. I'm sure there are many of authors who would love to rewrite the ending, me included.

Lynne Spreen Hey, Shelley, great to hear from you! I know you're out there and working hard. Hope everything is well with you.

Shelley Young Everything is well. I couldn't see how to send you a private message on here. Can I shoot you an email? if so, can you please give it to me again?

Lynne Spreen I sent you an email at your M.... address.

Shelley Young Great! Thanks.
