really liked it

I don't know if it's my prejudice on the books far down in a series or it just didn't live up to my expectation.
Since Last Breath, the appearance of the draug, I feel that the series has somehow strayed away from the original story and concept.
Much has changed but I guess it's how to keep the series going right?

I did not like the introduction of the draug.
And I've been trying to ask myself why.
Maybe it's how it made the Morganville vampires look weak.
It was an entirely different idea I've yet to see from another book and it just didn't click with me in Last Breath.
I would say I was more satisfied with the way things went on with the draug in Black Dawn.
Although the ending appeared to me as a bit ludicrous.
It seemed, surreal.
Almost like Shane's dreams, where everything were perfect.

About the different viewpoints, I couldn't come into terms with it at first too.
Seems like the change took a bad turn on me huh.
I was so used to seeing people from Claire's POV I was actually quite surprised by some of the characters' thoughts.
It did, in a way, aided us in understanding more of the characters in the book though.

Review unfinished, more to come.
