Newly wed and newly dead …

Two hundred years ago, Quinn Ralston secretly wed debutante Rose Haverford. The next day he went to war in order to gain the fame and fortune her father required of her husband. Instead, he died on the battlefield and was reborn as a vampire. When he returned to Rose, she was frightened and rejected him. Believing she died shortly after that, Quinn spent the next two hundred years trying to forget the only woman he ever loved.

Now an elite vampire bodyguard, Quinn is called in on a special assignment. Quinn is shocked to discover that the client is Rose, who is alive and a vampire. Quinn is further stunned to learn that the assignment is the protection of his and Rose's descendant from a daughter he didn't know he'd had.

Rose keeps secrets, and that gets in the way of the protection of their "grandson." One secret tops them all, however. Rose had faked her own death and had been hiding from Quinn for two hundred years to keep a deadly secret from him--a secret that will force him to kill her. Will they lose each other again, now that they've finally been reunited?

♥♥♥♥♥

Quinn is a hero you want to spend your time with. What woman wouldn't want a man who is capable of great passion and love that lasts hundreds of years? He's also sexy, brave, honorable and protective. Rose is his one weakness. Two hundred years ago he would have done anything for her, and was devastated when she rejected him. He would still do anything for her, which makes him vulnerable.

Rose was never a wilting flower. Centuries ago she knew what she wanted. Now she has the means and the freedom to control her own life and go after what she wants. And she wants Quinn, in spite of the consequences. She knows that she's eventually going to lose him when he learns her ultimate secret.

The story is page-turning. Rose, Quinn, and some old favorites from the series play a cat-and-mouse game with the deadly vampire pursuing Quinn and Rose's great-great-great-great-grandson, Blake. One recurring Scanguards character has a life-altering change thrust upon him. Some series characters reveal surprises. Quinn's Undying Rose is a worthy addition to the series and advances the overall story arc.

Tina Folsom says that book 7 is Oliver's story. Other characters who will most likely get their own books are Cain, Blake, Wesley, and new characters she will be introducing in future books. Thomas and Eddie will eventually get their own story. I am looking forward to their HEA. Poor, lovesick Thomas …
