Read from January 03 to 05, 2013 — I own a copy

It took a long time to get thoroughly underway, but the end was worth the wait. It was, by the final chapters, full of elegantly wrought description and characters. I also liked that it ended with a clear narrator, which novels rarely reveal to us. Good for readers who like late 19th century circuses, illusionists, magic with logical rules, romance, and strong female characters.
